The Pantelleria estate

Where the alberello is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Donnafugata in Pantelleria, a volcanic island between Sicily and Africa, is developing an innovative project of quality and heroic viticulture. The island's grape variety is the Zibibbo (Moscato d'Alessandria), the prince among aromatic varieties, cultivated using the Pantelleria alberello system and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A symbol of the island's heroic viticulture is Ben Ryé Passito di Pantelleria, one of the world's most popular sweet wines.
